No, this is *NOT* true! I'm using IMAP on a LAN at work right now (100mbit
ethernet) (although I also access this same account from a dialup when I'm
at home), and I still have this problem on *both* LAN and dialup. My IMAP
server is:

* OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LOGIN-REFERRALS AUTH=LOGIN] mailbox IMAP4rev1

For me, it only locks up on the automatic periodic mail check. It's fine if
it receives mail when I first start TB, or if I hit F2 (or alt-F2) (before
any automatic check) - then I can still exit. It only fails to close after
the automatic mail check, and when that check actually receives mail.
