.dat files

XP Pro SP2, Bat 4.0.20 I have one correspondent who sends me attachments as .dat files; he just can't seem to send as .xls or whatever. A product of Outlook (shudder!). How do I view .dat attachments? Is there a plugin? Once again, apologies for the footer; company policy. :-( -- Regards,

Password for secondary account
