embedding pdf file in e-mail

I want to embed into an e-mail a pdf file. (Actually, it is an MS Pub 2003 file converted to a .pdf file). However, when I try to insert the image, I get an error message that says "error file image loading." I have the format setting for the e-mail on HTML/Plain text. If I convert the Pub file
