That should work, but as you have only one system that deletes
messages you have to run that system regularly. Apart from that I've
experienced that TB can get confused when you change the the time
you're keeping your messages, so when you've still got messages from
January, but most of February's are missing than this could have
happened.

In the meantime you can delete the messages you want to get rid of by
using the dispatcher.
