This sounds like the "active account" phenomenon. On some systems (e.g. my
home computer) that setting never sticks, on other systems (e.g. my
compu
, v3.51 or 2.12, the last used account will be the source account
of the mail... At one of my friend an account selector window pops up
to ask him to select an account... I cannot reproduce it :(
