The smptserver is spelled correctly, and I actually copied/pasted it to
Becky from The Bat!
Account name and password must be good too since I can receive OK.
I can telnet the smtpserver (got a nice goodby message from the server
when I quit)

Are they needed by the SMTP server? If you can enter them, then
"Perform SMTP Authenication (sic)" is checked and, as Mark has already
pointed out, it shouldn't be.
