I think it's the same breed of people.
They like standards, low resources, stable, tweakablity.

I try to use as few programs as possible to get the job done.
Unfortunately that often means a specialized program for each job

DS> I couldn't imagine using a mail program to use as a mail reader.
I can't imagine why there are no combined news/mail programs that are
equally good at both tasks.
After all there is very little difference between e-mail and posting.
The protocol and server are different and that's about it.
Most other things are useable in both worlds.
Filters, macros, signatures, spam blockers, virus blockers, general
program layout, spell-checker, text editor, threading, etc
The news plug-in for TB! is the 'proof' for that statement.
This tiny program just converts e-mail into a post.
Ok, some things are missing but I miss them equally much in the e-mail
part or TB!

It even could increase TB! user base. There are many e-mail programs
to choose from.
But very few news readers. And a major part of them are very focused
on binaries; meaning almost no 'normal' functionality.

I'm beginning to really like it.
And I think you know what that means from the mouth of a
Agent-type-of-person... :P

I do not know with what weapons World War 3 will be fought, but World War 4 will be
fought with sticks and stones.
