Hello TBUDL, I've just talked on the phone with the webhosting company where my domain is hosted -- and they do reside in the Czech Republic -- and they admit that *their* mail server has been known to send Spam-Alerts similar to those we have seen earlier today on TBUDL.
They emphatically deny, however, that the spam alerts could have been sent anywhere but to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and that anything other than [EMAIL PROTECTED] could have been in the Sender field. But, as we saw, there were actually very different addresses in both the Sender and the Recipient fields of those Spam-Alerts. So either this is a seriously misconfigured spam-filter on the webhosting company's part, or they have themselves become victims of a virus/worm. (The IP address, 81.2.194.21, to be found in the spam alerts' headers, does belong to the company.) They've promised me to stop the sending out of all such notices immediately, and that should conclude our episode. -- Yours, Alex. of Slovakia www.avenarius.sk [flying with The Bat! 2.00 under Windows 98 4.10 Build 2222 A amd k6-2 500 mhz processor with 128 mb ram] ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.00 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
