I have my email sorted in the window by Thread and by Created date,
with the latest at the bottom of the window.
If I read a message in the preview pane, then spacebar takes me to the
next message down. Fine.
But not if I read the messages in the full window - then spacebar
takes me to the next

Exactly my settings in the folder view, but: I have also checked
