I am authoring WebHelp using the RH7 demo until our licensed version
arrives. I just had a topic totally disappear! By disappear I mean, in
the blink of an eye no content in the Design enviroment, no HTML, even
content authored yesterday is gone. The topic contained text, graphics,
and one DHTML dr
Thank you all for the information. Just for the record, I have used
RoboHelp since version 3 and I knew what I was buying. I was just
hoping some clever person had found a driver or interrepter that would
save me the hassle of two version of MS Word on my system.

I've just scored a RH2000 off of eBay for next to no money.
Unfortunately it refuses to run with my MS Word 2007 which I installed
to serve a client. Does anyone know of a work around either using Word
or OpenOffice or do I have to start looking for my MS Offfice 97?

Thanks, Dori. I had already visited their website. I was looking for
information that didn't have a marketing spin on it.

Today I received a call from a recruiter who offered me a desirable

management system called Day Communiqué. I have never run across this
software or know anyone who has. I have used AuthorIT for web and

I have moved a project from AIT to RoboHelp with little, if any trouble. The
reason we did this was a proof of concept to resolve the conflict between the
prime contractor on the project and the clients established training team. The
training team was comprised of RoboHelp gurus, using AIT was
No. When a project is started in AIT it automatically sets up a Jet database.
If the project expands beyond the capacity of the Jet DB a SQL DB must be
established for the project. I imagine other DBs might be able to be used but
our trainer only specified SQL for the large DB.

That is certainly true, all of it. Unfortunately there is no additional
compensation. Not even a "good job" or a "thank you".

I have a manager on my current project that has twice waltzed in, cut a 5 day
deadline to 2 days and doubled the work load to boot. And here I thought
managers were supposed to solve problems, not cause them! ;)

Actually, I see people walk up to a drive up ATM all the time. I admit
I've never seen a blind person walk up to one and I hope never to see a
blind person drive up to an ATM.

Maybe they will find out during
the user acceptance testing phase and raise objections.
As for moving on, I'm already working on it.

I am authoring online help and adjunct documentation for a client. In a
meeting with the prime contractor today I was instructed that there should be
no graphics in any of the documentation produced for the client. Their
rationale (irrationale?) was that if the documentation ever needed updati
