There's something wrong with your libpcap.
If you built libpcap from source, I would have to see
1) the config.log for libpcap

I tried option 4. The patch went cleanly, everything compiled okay and from
the testing I did it is working just fine. Thanks. It plays nicely with
wireshark
too.
