I want to begin to sync my MacOS ODM/LDAP servers with Google for Educators
and PowerSchool. I know I can do it with PowerSchool.
In my browsing tonight, I see that Google can sync to Active Directory and
LDAP but it only has an app for Windows, Solaris, and Linux.
Has any tried to sync up with
Joel,
I basically just leave it and use the option to Wipe Out last year's
student work so teachers can continue using the same setup for this
year.
I do make a complete site backup first and then clear out all
discussions, quiz attempts, student files submitted -- it is a menu
choice that teache
I have been using superflexible file synchronizer on a few units to trial. I
have a few macs and a few windows machines using this product. This may or may
not replace my home grown rsync scripts so I can start rolling syntonization
schedules from home as well (using a dyn dns host.allow script)
Has anyone been using Moodle for more than one school year?
I'm interested in how you do rollovers from one school year to the
next: courses, quizzes, and the like.
Our hosted Moodle presents certain problems. I have to Backup/Restore
each course for each teacher each year.
In addition, I found
Rsync is awesome, nice to see someone doing an easy to use gui/scheduler for
windows. I didnt see in
the docs, can it do rsync over ssh?
I have a few districts using backup assist to the cloud for short term DR using
the rsync/ssh protocol
for the short term until we finish getting our trial Av
Does anyone have experience with NasBackup?

I'm looking for a good way to rsync from Win32 servers/clients to
FreeNAS or SME.
Thanks,

Just called my parents via the Gmail phone widget. Perfect
connection. Talked to them for 20 minutes with superb clarity.
That's saying a lot since my Dad is really hard of hearing. What an
awesome service! Those Google Geeks rock!

Only thing needed on the Windows Server is a basic account that can
login (only need login ability, does not need any admin rights) -
create a user like MoodleConnect with a password in AD and then use
that as the connecting account in your Moodle LDAP settings.

I called myself just to check it out. Me, myself, and I had a long
conversation and it didn't cost a penny. I must have fallen asleep
while on the phone. When I woke up, the walls were all padded. I can't
explain why, but I am very happy now.

Haven't had a chance to use a Sanforce controller based SSD yet, but those
are the ones typically that have the rather crazy write speeds as well (some
well into the 200/300MB claimed as Jason said). They definately seem to be

I had a teacher with a personal gmail account ask me on Thursday if we
could use this with our GA4E domain...
I have not used this new feature yet, but have enjoyed other

I have used something similar when working with ScheduleStar and Ren Learn.
It has been useful. Those include an option for a transcript at the end to
be sent, which is also helpful.

Very weird... Out of the box modern SSD's hardware wise should perform better,

alot though from what I have been reading.
Some of the stock ssd's put into those models are known to be very slow
