having man pages that provide some explanation of various parts of the source
is very helpful.
So, I would support making man pages available as is proposed. Man pages are a

Would it maybe be worth creating a tiny manpage that just says "go look
over there for docs"? I don't _like_ having manpages in yet _another_
markup language, but I prefer that
I have modified drm.4 to state that the drivers are obsolete and
to suppress a mention of viadrm that was removed long ago (now superseded by
viadrmums, provided in drm2/ ---drmkms--- part).
