*Position :** **BI (Cognos 8) Designer & Develope*** *Location : Warren, NJ*** *3Months* * * *Role : BI (Cognos 8) Designer & Developer Role Description:* . Design and develop analytic and reporting solutions using COGNOS tool suite including Framework Manager metadata models, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio. Design the scheduling, distribution, and refresh for reports, views. . Serve as a technical expert on COGNOS solutions; recommend ways for the user base to maximize the value of available functionality. Work with data modeler to develop data mart models, design specifications, and metadata documentation. *Must have skills:* . Strong BI & DW skills. . 3-5 years of implementation experience using Cognos (*Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio).* . Some knowledge of *Sybase IQ verm12.x*. . Thorough understanding of *Cognos BI 8 platform* and suite of tools. . Ability to translate user requirements into complex Framework Manager models, BI reports, analysis, and dashboards. *Added Value skills:* . Technical knowledge regarding best practices of Cognos implementation, configuration and customizations including the Cognos SDK. . Experience working with dimensional modeling including understanding facts and dimensions, star and snowflake schemas, and OLAP tools and techniques is required. . Experience with Cognos GO (Office, Dashboard, Search). . Experience with Financial Service clients is desirable.
