*THE CONSULTANT MUST HAVE STRONG FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE* *Location*: Jersey City,NJ *Duration*: 6+ Months *Description*: *Business Objects Developer*: The candidate chosen will develop and implement canned and ad-hoc reports in a complex and dynamic data environment, spread across multiple regions to deliver a multi-year program. Will work very closely with key business & data analysts and technology teams. *Main Duties:* * * Work with the business and data analysts to evaluate reporting requirements, work with ETL team to build the appropriate universe and configure the reports accordingly. Work with the data architect and create database objects to fetch data for reporting needs. Work with the development lead to recommend good design, coding and implementation practices. Work with the technology team and take responsibility for the timely implementation of the solution. • Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL, databases, and Business Objects. • Must have experience in designing and developing Business Objects universe as well as canned and ad-hoc reports. • Demonstrated ability to communicate with business analysts/data analysts and technology teams. Experience Preferred: • Experience in data warehouse development, OLAP tools. • Experience of working with the Legal function within an Investment Bank. • Strong IT skills and background, especially in the financial services industry; comfortable with computer based tools, processes and workflows. *Skills/Aptitude Required: * * * • Experience in SQL server. • Experience in Autosys and Java. • Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to attend many tasks simultaneously, with frequently changing priorities. • Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues and proactive. • Extremely organized, excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in documenting code releases. • Highly self-motivated with a confident “do the right thing” attitude. • Able to multi-task and prioritize a demanding and varied workload. • Excellent attention to detail. • Work long hours when required, to communicate with groups in other regions. • Ability to identify, appropriately escalate issues & risks & consider solutions.
