The Maine Department of Labor is seeking a Systems Analyst to supplement the
State of Maine Office of Information Technology staff working on various
projects for the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation.

 The Unemployment Compensation Program and the system supporting it,
processes over 30,000 claims a week.  The Benefits system is a critical
legacy system which provides MDOL with the capability to register
individuals for unemployment insurance benefits and disburse those
benefits.   This system paid out $449 million in federal funds to unemployed
claimants in 2009.

 This position would:

 ·       Develop the specifications for new reports related to the
Reemployment Assistance Program.
·       Create system documentation by reviewing source code and generating
correlating system documentation.

 *Skill Set Required *

 ·       A minimum of 3 years experience in technical or business analysis
AND
·       1 year direct knowledge or experience in Oracle, PL/SQL and/or COBOL
AND 2 additional years knowledge or experience in any other 3GL or 4GL
programming languages OR 3 years knowledge or experience in Oracle, PL/SQL
and/or COBOL AND

 ·       A minimum of 1 year experience with any kind of diagramming/flow
charting software AND
·       A minimum of 1 year experience or knowledge of any kind of
Business/Process Modeling.
·       Substantial knowledge of System design principles and techniques.
·       Substantial knowledge of Systems Review and Evaluation.
·       Substantial knowledge of Systems Testing.
