6months Senior Solution Architect to drive and implement strategic enterprise business intelligence initiatives on the Business Objects platform. The BO Solution Architect will be responsible for the design, deployment and performance tuning on the Business Objects tools suite including the following; Voyager, Xcelsius, InfoView, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports and Data Integrator. The Architect will design and enhance existing Datamarts and supporting source systems, develop universes to support Dashboards, reports and views for Corporate financial and HR applications as well as support the design and development of various related ETL systems supporting the Datawarehouse eco-system. RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS: · 10-15 years IT experience including extensive database architecture, dimensional modeling and design skills working on high performance solutions in large corporate environments · 5+ years of indepth experience with Datawarehousing, business intelligence concepts & implementation. Experience creating, optimizing and generating reports from enterprise data stores. · 5+ Years of technical hands-on expertise using OLAP tool Business Objects XIR2/XIR3 (Reports, Designer, Web Intelligence, Infoview , Voyager and Supervisor) · 3+ Expertise in working on Web Intelligence Universe Designer, Crystal, Xcelsius and SDK. · Experience in Universe designing, developing and generating complex, adhoc, Dashboard Reports, Business views, LOV, complex measures using functions, logical aggregations and averages. · Expertise in Business Objects reporting functionalities such as Master Detailed, Slice and Dice, Drilling methodology, Filters, Ranking, Sections, Graphs and Breaks. · 3+ years of experience with Business Objects XI Developer and Performance Tuning. Have good familiarity with the Microsoft suite of tools. · 10+ years of experience with SQL programming, writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages · Experience in integrating BO into presentation applications (such as Java GUI applications, portals). · Experience presenting, comparing, architecting solutions among one or many of the established BI suites in varied industries. · Integration experience with Peoplesoft 8.x/9x , Business Objects, COGNOS, etc OTHER: · M.S in Information Systems · Strong knowledge and use of full lifecycle development methodologies, standards and procedures · Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple teams across concurrent project tasks · Resourceful and self starter with minimal hand holding required · Excellent team work and communication skills
