Just so you know, the general skill sets required is just more of the skills used in their environment. But then I broke down the key skills required for each specific requirement that is open. Call with questions. Overall Project Description: (Includes Description of Project and Business Implications of Project): Develop applications as required to support Clients business units. This will consist of a variety of different projects over the length of the project. Consultant will have complete business requirements and technical specs in which to code against. Job Description for our Consultant (Includes Daily responsibilities and expectations): * Develop complex business and User Interface functionality while adhering to coding standards * Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget and are of the highest quality, meeting all team standards * Consultant will be responsible for developing code based on overall job requirements and technical specs that are given. * All projects will utilize their background in Oracle 9i or 10g, PL/SQL Development, Oracle Forms (6I), SQR Development, Unix scripting, VI Editor, Triggers, Packages, and such. * Provide production support for the applications as required General Required Skills (needed to successfully complete responsibilities): * 3- 5+ years Oracle 9i or 10g programming experience with the following skills. * Must have a solid background with PL/SQL Development and must have a solid background in triggers, packages, and etc. in PL/SQL. * The client uses SQR for all Report related development. This is SQR coding to format Batch Reports and File Feeds. (They are not using the GUI based SQR tools). Must have solid coding from scratch skills. * Must have Oracle Forms (they use 6i) development. * Must have a solid background with Unix scripting and VI Editor. They use VI Editor to implement PL/SQL and Unix Scripts. * Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with team and offer suggestions when and where capable. Some projects are individual and some or on their own, so must be able to work independently when required. Specific Project Skills for each specific project: Project 376306 - This requirement will focus on the following skills: * Oracle 9i or 10g with very heavy PL/SQL, Packages, and Clobs and Blobs * A Character Large Object (or CLOB) is a collection of character <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_(computing)> data <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data> in a database management system <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_management_system> , usually stored in a separate location that is referenced in the table itself. * A binary large object, also known as a blob, is a collection of binary data <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_data> stored as a single entity in a database management system <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_management_system> . Blobs are typically images <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image> , audio <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound> or other multimedia <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multimedia> objects, though sometimes binary executable code is stored as a blob <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_blob> . Database support for blobs is not universal. Project 376309 - This requirement will focus on the following skills: * Oracle 9i or 10g with very heavy focus PL/SQL using external tables to load data, Clobs and Blobs, and then a major plus is SQR file feeds.
