* * *Role: Business System Analyst (financial services)* *Location: Alameda, CA* *Duration: 2+ Months * * * Oversees the acquisition, analysis, strategy and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Conducts high level business analysis involving complex business requirements and processes. Analyzes current processes and recommends process improvements. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Develops position statements on complex subject matter questions. Minimum Job Specs: Bachelors Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent, 10+ years of related financial services experience, Extensive knowledge of business functions, seasoned in project management methodology, Excellent analytical skills, Very strong relationship management skills, Strong writing and presentation skills Responsible for Business Requirements Analysis including identification of business objectives, needs and rules; evaluation of the current processing environment; modeling of the proposed processing environment; documentation of requirements for complex projects Responsible for Systems Requirements Analysis including identification of the functional solution necessary to address business objectives, needs and rules; identification of infrastructure needs; design and documentation of system specifications including user interfaces, security and control, performance requirements and data conversion. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications Responsible for working with all members of the project team, following the project through the systems development lifecycle and ensuring business objectives are met. Responsible for enterprise-wide (complex, high risk) information systems. Responsible for instructing, directing, mentoring and checking the work of business systems analysis personnel.
