Title: DataStage Architect

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL 

Duration: 6 plus months 

Start: ASAP 

Responsibilities:

A. Planning user interface. 

B. Designing technical specifications. 

C. Building testing, deploying, and maintaining ETL processes. 

D. Performance Tuning, Data Mappings and Workflows. 

E. Gathering project requirements. 

Required Skills:

1. 8 plus years of IT experience with minimum of 5 plus years experience 
in DataStage and 3 plus years as a DataStage Architect

2. Should have worked as ETL Developer (senior level) with a myriad of 
data sources and apply the ETL skills using IBM Information Server 
(DataStage). 
3. Proficient in DataStage (DataStage Manager, Designer, Director, 
Administrator, Parallel Extender), and ProfileStage
4. Experienced as Data architect/ETL developer with Datastage tool mapping 
data from various sources to confirmed Data Warehouse. 
5. Strong experience of PL/SQL and advanced SQL techniques, Unix shell 
scripting, XML, MQ series. 
6. Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), 
understanding Datastage and ETL best practices within Oracle and DB2 
environment. 
7. Experienced in scheduling ETL jobs using Datastage scheduler, Unix Cron 
and external scheduling tool. 
8. The candidate must have experience as a significant developer on at 
least 3 full lifecycle data warehouse implementation.
