Send resume only if you are okay with the rate and with rate confirmation) * **** * * *Project Description:* ** The Test Specialist Sr. works independently within guidelines to design and implement software testing procedures and applications to ensure functionality and system stability for new and modified program code. In addition, leads the testing for new applications to determine impact on existing hardware and software, creates test plans, determines testing strategies and provides consulting to project teams to ensure complete testing occurs, researches testing trends and industry best practices, documents and assists in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise and a high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required. *The right candidate needs to: *** · Be a self-starter and be able to work with little or no supervision · Analyze business requirements and technical specification documents to develop the test cases and scenarios · Work with business and technical resources to analyze problems encountered in testing and determining changes required to correct problems · Report daily status to test lead and tech lead · Participate in test planning, coordination and resource estimation for the project · Be able to track and monitor the testing progress of the project and provide status to test lead and manager · Coordinate with different teams · Identify issues and followed through to completion *·** **Work on multiple projects simultaneously* *·** **Manage the test effort for the project* · Manage the defect tracking and resolution process and the organization of the testing artifacts. *The candidate must have the following skills:* **** · *Education:* Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant experience. · Well organized and attentive to detail · Strong Analytical skills · Good understanding of testing methodology · Experience / ability in maintaining test statistics and publishing status reports with updated numbers and explanations · Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (verbal and written) · Ability to log test results/defects and perform test results analysis *·** **8 Years Application Development including application testing experience with: Testing Java Applications or Mainframe programming such as COBOL and JCL*** · Has reviewed, documented and organized test cases results and defects · Should be able to manage the test effort for the project · Experience creating automated scripts for regression testing and performance testing *·** **3 years experience using an automated tool for creating test cases (preference is Quality Center or Test Manager)* · Strong MS Office skills (Excel and Access) -- Regards Santosh Delight Consulting Services LLC. 2565 S.
