Retail experience (especially in supply chain process) Desired skills: Java, AS 400, OS390 Project Details: Client ships merchandise from vendors to the store directly. This is known as a DTS (Direct to Store) program. The current legacy direct receiving system does not allow multiple PO's to be shipped in the same carton. The store scan receipt process is not capable of recognizing multiple PO's in a single carton receipt. This forces multiple cartons to be shipped to the store and increases transportation expense. The idea is to modify the direct receiving system to allow multiple PO's (from single vendor and multiple vendors) to be co-loaded into a single carton and shipped to the store. The systems will be modified to recognize multiple PO's are in the single carton. When the store team member scans the carton bar code label, the multiple PO information is recognized and inventory transfers to the store.
