Summary: Responsible for database creation, implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for software applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Assists in the evaluation, installation and maintenance of the database management system (DBMS) software and related software products. * Develops clear and concise communications targeted to meet specific performance requirements. * Assists in setting up and maintaining data structures and database environments to support production, performance and development activities. * Develops, modifies and reuses data structure, access and entity relationship diagrams using available tools. * Facilitates reusability and participates in the definition of operational standards for managing information assets * Performs other related duties as assigned. Team currently supports SQL Server 2000/2005 and will be migrating to 2008. Candidate will be responsible for production DBA duties (performance/tuning/back-up/recovery).
