The scripting environment is Perl and Korn Shell. Scripts make heavy use of an Oracle database, so strong database programing skills are also required. *Responsibilities (Deliverables): * Develops batch processing scripts in a Unix Environment. Scripts are developed in Korn Shell and Perl. The scripts call vendor provided executables and access brokerage performance data stored in an Oracle database. The Oracle database has 1.5 TB of data, so experience working with large data sets is important. The database is also partitioned to take advantage of Oracle Parallel query functionality. The ideal candidate will be able to work directly with business analysts and read requirements documentation to enhance existing scripts or write new scripts with a minimum of supervision. List deliverables or activities the resource will be responsible for producing or executing * Skills: * 5+ years of script development in a Unix environment 3+ years of database programming experience Experience developing Unix shell and Perl Scripts Prefer experience with Korn shell scripting Perl Scripting experience Prefer experience using the Perl DBI database module Experience developing Perl modules a plus Enterprise Database Experience Oracle is preferred, but DB2, Sybase, Informix or MS SQL server are acceptable as well Experience writing complex queries Experience with performance tuning of SQL queries Prefer experience working with very large data sets and partitioned data Requirements Gathering and Analysis Ability Ability to translate requirements and functional design to a technical design Ability to work directly with business analysts and end users to determine an appropriate functional design. *******Brokerage & Banking Expert Required******* * Thanks & Regards,** SK Snr.
