*Job Title: UNIX Technical Resource* *Duration: 2 Months* *Location: Minneapolis, MN* ** *Rate: Best (Low)* *Job Description:* DSO Support Technician: Works under the direction of the DSO Manager and is accountable for the 24/7/365 monitoring and recovery of Client systems. Has broad level of skills and is cross-trained to support multiple business processes across diverse technology platforms (UNIX, NT, AS/400, Tandem, and Network). Monitoring and recovery of Client's distributed technology environments. System Changes/Outages: Performs operational tasks to install new programs into the production environment. Performs system shutdowns and startups as needed for the purpose of maintaining system hardware and software. Documentation: creates and maintains documentation for the purpose of performing all job duties. Performs level I fault management to include problem identification, logging, resolution, and escalation. Adherence to defined problem management and client service procedures. Vendor dispatch and issue tracking. Active participation in the development and revision of technical documentation/knowledge. Self managed completion of individually structured training plan. Participation in roll-outs and new technology testing. Participation in departmental projects. Add/change systems definitions and configurations to prevent system degradation.
