Required Skills:
Expert knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and Symantec Net-backup architecture and software.
Expert knowledge of IBM and Sun/STK tape libraries
Enterprise distributed environments.
Enterprise data center migrations, virtualization and consolidation.
Planning, designing and solutioning backup solutions
Working knowledge of Project Management tools, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and word documents.
Infrastructure technologies including: Unix (Sun & AIX), Wintel, VMWare/ESX, Citrix/Metaframe, Web (IIS & Weblogic), Shared Storage (SAN, NAS, SATA) & Veritas.
Directory Services (Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, etc.).
Messaging, MicroSoft Exchange.
Responsibilities:
100%-Develop comprehensive, operationally sound and financially vialble backup solutions in support of the backup infrasturcture. This will also require reporting of backup success, failure and amounts backed up by client.
