Is it possible to build a tesseract 3.02 API-only library that does not require leptonica or do any file I/O? We use tesseract in our document management/image scanning application and leptonica duplicates stuff we already do quite well. All we wish to do is pass an in-memory bitmap to tesseract and get back some text and perhaps font metrics/box position info (for doing text-behind image PDF creation). We understand that if we wish to do additional training that we would need to use the full package and have no problem with that. Perhaps a leptonic a "stub" file? Any suggestions as to how I might be able to accomplish this? Our products are cross platform for both Mac OS X and Windows and we have successfully used tesseract 2.x in the past.
Any help most welcome. Craig Landrum, CTO Mindwrap Inc. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "tesseract-ocr" group.
