Just wanted to post my RC5 success story. UEFI + Sandy (HD2000) + SSD =
Gnome desktop. (Although I don't really consider that a good thing :D )
There was a several minute delay between the final package and installing
the bootloader, I was about to give up on it! But it went with no errors.

So, when installing f16 alpha (the RC just released today) on
a KVM virtual machine from the 64 bit DVD iso image, I did
a normal custom partitioning with a swap and a ext4 /
partition on a branch new qcow2 20G disk image.
When it reached the partitioning stage, I got a popup

the current release criterion dealing with EFI installs could be
improved. It's a Beta criterion, and it reads:
"The installer must boot and run on systems using EFI other than Apple
Macs"
The wording 'boot and run' is a bit

I have been using grub 2 for some time, most distros in fact use grub 2, fedora
is one of the last major distros to switch over.
The advantages of grub 2 are
1. Grub 2 is much more feature rich.
2. Grub 2 has very good OS detection.
3. Grub 2 has a few very nice features.
4. gurb 1 is depreci

No, there have been no changes to the bootloader command for grub2.
Should there be?

Ubuntu has a routine that builds the grub2 config file
by searching the machine for bootable operating systems.
Booting Ubuntu recovery brings up a menu which includes
rebuilding the grub files.

Hi,
I read at this very mailinglist that Fedora 16 is listed to
having grub2. I was interested if this was really true and where
I could learn more about how Fedora is planning to package and
use it in Fedora 16. I have run into all kinds of issues with the
upstream version installed on Gento
