g before, nm-applet is replaced by the
old system-config-network. And now just when nm-applet is stable enough to
use, they want a new network manager for gnome3? Ok, lets see, how much time
it takes to hit the ground. Waiting for it.

search result click Network Connections. This is the old nm-applet of Gnome
2.
If you click the network icon of the panel then Network Settings, that´s the
different thing (dumbed down to absolute worthlessness).

A .desktop file needs to be placed in /usr/share/A
ze maximize button is in the
left side of the title bar, and the global menu, the mac dock etc, none of
these are available in any DE's default installation (but yes, you can
customize of course). So I guess, GNOME devs wanted to create something like
this, which is totally different than
Install gnome-tweak-tool, then you can have the old min/max-imize and close
button by changing the settings on Gnome Tweak Tool, though for pop up
window, you still have to use ESC, or titlebar right click and then close.
