For some time now (maybe a week) in rawhide the cursor disappears when
the gnome shell appears. It may or may not be present during gdm time
and initially in the lower right corner region after login, but then
disappears but its location can be inferred by moving the mouse around
and seeing different things highlight. After a period of time the
physical cursor reappears.
