Why is Flood using shared objects when config has --disable-shared?

Dear Flood developers, perhaps you can help with this problem: Compiled Flood on one Sun Solaris environment. Used --disable-shared option in the ./configure command line. When I took the executable over into another Sun Solaris environment, it is failing on being able to find libgcc_s.so.1: ld.s
