It'd be very helpful if somebody could do a bit of processing
of CPAN and figure who uses Apache::test and compile a list of
their email addresses.

Here's a list of packages that have Apache::test in their Makefile.PL PREREQ_PMs, or otherwise require by some means Apache::test - this was extracted from some indices used in our CPAN search engine, so may be incomplete.

[ ... ] Just to add to that - this list was those packages that
explicitly mention Apache::test in their Makefile.PLs as being
needed to build. There may be other packages that use
Apache::test but specify it indirectly via something like, eg,
mod_perl => 1 or Apache::src in the PREREQ_PM, since Apache::test
would be included in the distribution containing these modules.
To get an accurate list of those that explicitly use Apache::test
one would have to go through and build all packages that use
mod_perl (I could put together a list of those), for which
there's about 124. Perhaps just mailing all these authors would
be simplest, and let them decide if the change would affect them.

Fantastic, Randy! There are very few as expected.

Can we simply grep for Apache::test in all files (not only Makefile.PL) and then 'find . |grep Apache/test.pm' to exclude those who bundle the package?
