Not true--my parents always told me that you can learn something from

I have it on good authority that an Aggie Speleological Society member, who
will remain nameless, happened to hit a bat with their car on a recent cave
trip. It got stuck under the windshield wiper and was killed. They stopped
the car, got the bat off the windshield, and placed it on the
Aggie Joke Off!!!

This may be true, but there are so many errors in the
synopsis that I have my doubts. Calcium carbide is CaC2, not CaCb,
and the gas it forms is acetylene, not ethylene. And where did
