I had the privilege recently of spending a week with Andy Belski and others
deep
in the parasite infested jungles of Mexico. I discovered that Andy had never
heard the ballad written, I think, by Gary Davis, that ends with the line:
"when
up the road from Carlsbad came Belski with the beer." C

I concur, the Meador Pincher is in Three Fingers. I've been through it a
few times, but I never knew Tom.

The Truth is Out! The April issue of the NSS has an article that every
member must read: "Cavers Are Impressive Resources!". It is incredible
what damage WNS has done to the NSS, cavers, caves, and to the bats.
Read it and weep! I am outraged.

In 1967 or '68 there was a TSA Labor Day Project in Kimble County. I spent
most of that weekend caving with Tom and getting to appreciate his
enthusiasm for caving and his sense of humor. It was a cruel trick on us
all that he died so young with so much left to contribute.
