Mike Bilbo asked that the following message be sent out: It has been raining (light drizzle) at the Fort Stanton area so fire restrictions have been lifted. Camping will be allowed at the cave campground and camp fires are allowed. There is no trail crew at the BLM bunkhouse so anyone who wishes to sleep in the bunkhouse is welcome to do so this weekend - this means you can get out of the rain if you are not equipped for wet camping. Note: the Lincoln State Monument has a new Feather Cave exhibit that would really be of interest to cavers. Among planned tasks this weekend is work on stabilizing Babb's Burrow, surface reconnaissance looking for possible water sources for Snowy River, and other tasks that BLM would like to see accomplished if enough people show up.
