We pulled in to Groad-Hollow Camp about 5:30 p.m., Sunday evening., June
18th. completely burned out from driving into the Chihuahuan Sun.

We were immediately greeted with open arms by caver Lee Jay Graves. Then
followed by: Jim "Crash" Kennedy, Gary Donham. Tom Rogers, Gill Ediger,
Keith and Lisa Goggins, Mr. & Mrs. Ron Rutherford and some non-Texas
cavers, famous speleo-artist Emily Davis and hermom, George Dasher and ?,
and 3 other cavers whose names, I should know.

Groad Hollow had been set-up only in the Stage-One phase, partly due to a
founder being unable to attend, and that so many cases are hoteling this
year's event.

We are heading to dinner now, and afterward to plan last minute sleeping
arrangements. We only brought bivy gear.

Earlier this afrernoon while enroute, we stopped at a gas station in the
town of Cline's Corner, and there we bumped into two R.A.S.S. cavers

Before arriving, we dropped off CowPoke on the east side of Albuquerque.
The dude-ranch paid me, but in hindsight it was a hassle. M.C. was okay
with it all. But my 6th sense was right. The kid was heading to a
probation program and was not able to drive.
