More non-caving info for those of you interested in the Big Bend

Mosasaur Ranch Museum

Ken Barns  is a friend, past Brewster County surveyor, and an "amateur" (no
formal degree) paleontologist who knows more about Big Bend fossils (especially
the mosasaurs)  than most geologists.   I have learned from him. In my mind he
ranks as one of the two finest observers I have ever met - along with Donald
Davis.   Only Ken's focus is paleontology, not caves.

Next time you are in the area you can probably find him on the Terlingua porch
before sunset and make arrangements to meet him at his museum.
