Folks, Here are two training opportunities for cavers.
On Monday, July 26, there is a CPR/AED training class at UTHSC in San Antonio for a cost of $10. This is good information to know and also a required class if you are interested in taking the Wilderness First Aid Course scheduled for the evening of August 6 and all day Saturday and Sunday August 7th and 8th. The fees for the WFA course are $60. These are both incredible deals as these courses usually cost hundreds of dollars. In addition, Ms Smith and her assistants are outstanding instructors. If you're coming from outside the San Antonio area, the San Antonio Home for Wayward Cavers may be open (my house). Call ahead to reserve a space in the class or at the house.
