Subject: 15th ICS - RV Parking and Sponsorship correction
Dear Friends,
Some of you are driving to the 15th International Congress of
Speleology in RVs. I previously noted that RVs are not allowed on
Schreiner University. This caused some problems for a few of you and
we have made arrangements with the university to solve or at least
reduce the problem.
If you drive to Kerrville in an RV and don't have a car, motorcycle,
or bicycle with you to get you onto the university, or are not able to
coordinate a ride with friends, then you can park in a designated
parking lot on campus. The reason I qualify the statement with cars,
bikes, etc. is because it is a small parking lot. Depending on the
size of the RVs, perhaps as few as four or as many as 10 will fit, so
I appreciate your help in keeping space available for those who do not
have other options. The parking lot is on the north side of the
Delaney dormitory, across the street from the building where you will
register for the ICS. The lot will be marked with an "RV Parking Only"
sign. This is not for camping or overnight parking.
If you find the parking lot is full (parking, like other ICS
activities will be on a first come, first served basis as space is
available), you will have to find an off-campus location to park.
Maybe while driving on campus you will find a friend who can follow
you in car and give you a ride back.
We hope this helps. I'm sending this message from the university where
many people have come this weekend to prepare the campus and make the
ICS the best possible experience for you.
