I might have done this---at a younger age. A new twist on vertical. Fritz

THEY SHOULD ASK FOR A PAY RAISE !!! This is amazing. The "On Line Engineers" (OLE) climb and perform maintenance on very high transmission towers. The video shows this on a tower 1,768 feet high. The two guys are "free climbing", in that there is no "cage" around the handholds and no safety net. They only use a hook on a rope, that they hang off one of the handholds or place into an open bolt hole, in order to rest periodically. They come down the same way they go up....no parachutes allowed, apparently. You gotta assume that they are well paid. The video opens with a little, short "cartoon" by the OLE, but then transitions to the actual climb. http://www.liveleak.com/mp53/player.swf?config=http://www.liveleak.com/mp53/player_config.php?token=07b_1284580365%26embed=1<http://www.liveleak.com/mp53/player.swf?config=http://www.liveleak.com/mp53/player_config.php?token=07b_1284580365%26embed=1> Note: Empire State Bldg is 1453 ft, Sears tower is 1730 ft. this is 1768 ft. straight up. You must watch it to the end to get the full impact!!!.
