If you want the very latest news on the rescue go to YouTube and search for
กู้ภัย and then set your filter for today or for last hour, and you should see a few news channels with current news stories look for ones that have the most subscribers if you want the mainstream Thai version ( but it won't be in English ) It does appear they ran everybody off who was not rescue personnel and they beefed up security around the oxygen tanks. I can confirm there is a formal military checkpoint at the entrance to the karst area. Looks like a clay road, as does the main road leading to it. It is a circus at that intersection. The military don't make good traffic cops. They are not even using the right hand signals. D.L.
