The swimming at the Rio Tigre there is a popular spot. However, the park is not very clean. I had my last romantic moment in life there with a girl from Ciudad Victoria. Then I got married.
Speaking of Santa Engracia. My wife and I stayed at the fancy hotel there. For the high cost, you would think you are getting a 5 star hotel. But what you are paying for, is silence. There are no phones. No TV's and almost nothing to do. The food is o.k. It is very clean and slightly picturesque. Great place to spend reading a couple of books, or playing chess. The road in front of the hotel goes straight to the swimming hole if my memory is correct. Maybe a mile or so. It continues across the river if your truck can ford the river. You will need a good off-road vehicle to do that. That was about 9 years ago.
