Toshiba announced today the end of their version of "High-Definition DVD."
If I were them, I would sell the technology to a small niche company, that could market HD-DVD into portable movie devices, like the Portable Playstation. For example, something similar to the VideoNow product , or a slim-portable DVD player with a small screen, similar to the Casio DVD player. And to possibly use 3" disc. One of the problems with that idea however, is that high definition really only looks better on the bigger screens. They could always make a TV-out connection on the gadget. Anyways, it is likely that Blu-ray is going to sell a lot better now. Don't you wish you had some stock in that?
