My daughter wanted to go see the movie "Chihuahua." She just turned 4
years old,
so I thought it would be ok.

I would not recommend this to kids under 7 years old, and not for people who
have already
seen dozens of dog movies. Chihuahua fans might enjoy it more than I
did.

The prissy Beverly Hills dog goes from having a $ 1,000 a day budget, to
being kidnapped
by dog-fighters in Mexico.

The style of the movie is much like the first "Home Alone." It is a
comedy, with
a small but poorly plotted love story.

I don't think the movie portrays Mexico as well as it could have.

There were no cave scenes, although the chihuahua did get lost inside of a
dark
Mayan pyramid.

This movie stole a bunch of plot from the dozens of other dog movies that
have
preceeded it.

However, the actors doing the voice-overs seemed to do a good job.

I imagine George Lopez will get nominated for an award.

For me, the movie made me think about how the super wealthy people pamper
their dogs, and how children in Ethiopia can't even get a can of vienna
sausage.

This movie will probably sale very good on DVD.
