Q1 What are thebenefits of transplantation? A1 ApolloHospitals Enterprise Limited Lived in Hyderabad, Telangana, India Apr 1 When an individual needs organtransplantation, it is because one of his/her organs is either working verypoorly or is failing. Undergoing an organ transplantation procedure canlengthen the individual’s life and may allow those with chronic illness to livea normal lifespan. Somebenefits of transplant surgery may include: 1. Avoid medical procedures likedialysis. 2. Living a healthier (lesspainful) and a longer life 3. Gaining an improved quality oflife (for example, cornea transplant procedure restores a person's sight) 4. Correcting congenital disabilitiesthat endanger life. Q2 Which is the bestplace to live in India? A2 SureshVarma Studied Computer Science & Computer Science at Osmania (Graduated1995)Updated 3y Generally people are referring bigcities where you don’t get a glimpse of nature to enjoy or Hill stations whereyou will get bored after few days as there will not be any much life (at leastslow paced). What if you get combination of both with city cum village lifestyle and proper connectivity by all means of transport…HERE YOU GO!!!!!!!1 Imagine a place which is a smallcity where you can have good shopping experience, access to good restaurants, star hotels, resorts, coffee bars, lounge cafes, all types of luxury milk shakes, drive in restaurants etc Imagine a place which is right onthe bank of vast river with serene natural beauty. Imagine a place which is surroundedby Paddy rich farm fields, coconut gardens, 10,000 acres of lush green nurseryplants, with green houses(nurseries) Imagine a place which has very lesspopulation (Tier 3 city) and less congested and no traffic jams. Imagine a place which has almostzero crime rate and extremely safe for everybody. Most reasonable cost of living(2BHK rental would be around 5k to 10k Max), reasonable cost for groceries, vegetables and daily needs. I don’t know much about otherplaces which can satisfy above criteria, but surely you will like this placeand vote for this city after reading this. Iwould like to refer “Rajamahendravaram”(alias Rajahmundry) in AP. It is the oneof the most beautiful city on the bank of river Godavari having historyof more than 1400 years. Herepeople are more attached to river Godavari by all means and their life style islinked to this river. There are more stations on bank ofGodavari but the station named “Godavari”here only and no where else it isnamed . (there is one more main station “Rajahmundry” in the city next toGodavari station), just an example of how people attached to river. CITY VIEW: No where else in its travel, itsbreadth is 3kms , but here it is more than 3 kms and hence we got four worldclass bridges and one barrage. Have a glimpse of breadth ofgodavari here.. 2. Kotilingalu ghat spans nearly2km which is India’s biggest river ghat 3. A domestic airport withconnectivity to south india 4. Life is very calm here andalmost zero crime rate. (like this in pic) 5. Less congested and thepopulation is less than 6 lakhs population including urban agglomeration. 6. Shoppers paradise.. Reliance,Walmart, Spencershyper, Bigbazaar, pantaloons, MAX and all other major shoppingmalls are here and many more coming up. 7. Fresh fish, prawns and other seafood available plenty here. 8. Many resorts, 3 or 4 starhotels, coffee lounges etc La Hospin a 3 star hotel River bay resorts, 4 star Shelton Rajamahendri…4 star Dindi resorts (1 hour drive fromRajahmundry). 9.Best tourist place and AP govt making it as Tourism hub of AP. 10. The only drawback need tobe mentioned is , Weather in summer is very harsh esp between April to June. 11. Nitya Godavari Harathi (every day) at 7pm is really a feast foreyes. During this time the LED light show on the bridges must be watched. Thick and dense forest with many jungle resorts…just 2 hours drive fromcity.Vanavihari resort… 18. Travelling on cruise boat fromRajahmundry to Papikondalu (4 hours boat journey) and staying on river bank atkolluru huts for whole night will be most memorable event in life. Theadvantage here is, you don’t have any mobile network, or any other transport. You will be completely disconnected from the world until you get your cruise onnext day evening. You can have open air bath here with cystal clear water andthe depth here is just 4 feet which is ideal for bath who doesn’t know swimming 12. You get fresh vegetables, fruits directly from farms every day. About Bridges: First (Old bridge) constructed byBritish govt in 1897 which is decommissioned recently and Ap tourism isplanning to make it as walker’s bridge soon.(right side in the pic) Second , Road cum rail bridge whichis asia’s second longest road cum rail bridge. Third, Constructed in 1995 which isBow string arch bridge with 28 strings/spans and the gap between each span is100m (which is one of the finest bow string arch bridge in the world with 100mspan apart) (lect side in the pic) 4th bridge constructed in 2014 ,exclusive for road way (seperate bridges for both side traffic) One barrage constructed 40 yrs backand it spans around 7kms. Here Godavari splitted into two rivers Gowtami andVashishta and each spans 2kms…The land between (both side rivers and one sidebay of bengal is the most beatiful and fertile land in India). This area iscalled Konaseema. Kadiyam Nurseries( out skirts of city) and there are 10 villagesspans 1000 of acres dedicated for only plants and nurseries. Sea coast is just 60kms from hereand the place Antarvedi is most beautiful place to visit(here Godavarisubmerges into sea) Thanks for reading this, if you gettime do visit this place and relax in nature’s lap for few days. (ideal time tovisit is Sep to Feb) Q3 Are non-mammalsconsidered animals? Why or why not? A3 ClaireJordan Degree in biology and folklore; programmer, shop owner, secretary onnewspaper Apr 16 Um, because the definition of an animal is a multi-cellularorganism which is in the clade Animalia, which means it’s descended from thefirst animals (probably sponges or a close relative). In all ornearly all cases it will be capable of independent movement for at least somepart of its life-cycle, andget its sustenance by feeding on other organisms. Q4 Why does slowedmetabolism lead to water retention? Where is water retained? A4 KenSaladin Former professor of histology (microscopic anatomy)Fri I’m not sure about the truth of thefirst assumption. As for the second question, though, about 25% of the body’s water is in the tissue(interstitial) fluid, between the cells of our tissues, such as thesubcutaneous connective tissue. When one retains excess water, I think that’s probably where most of itis. Q5 Dogs can't havechocolate. Are there human foods a pet rat can't eat? A5 ClaireJordan Degree in biology and folklore; programmer, shop owner, secretary onnewspaper Updated Apr 18 Rats can eat anything we can eat, and some things we couldn’t, such assoap, leather and candle wax. But there are things they shouldhave only in moderation. Too much protein is bad for their kidneys, and toomuch sugar or dairy makes their coats greasy or itchy. But the most importantthing they need more than we do is good ventilation, as their lungs are quitedelicate. Brown/domesticrats also don’t tolerate heat very well, especially if they are taillessrats, as they use their tails to lose excess heat. Mynote- Dogs cannot eat onions and most dogs do not touch ricemixed with sambar. Nowadays most street dogs do not eat rice also. Q6 Do professors buyexpensive large bookcases with ladders for their home library? A6 MattRiggsby Sometimes puts words in a row in exchange for money Apr 15 Professors wish they had expensive large bookcases with ladders. Professors tend to have enormousstacks of books and journals, so they’d be able to fill just about any spacethey had. However, those large expensive bookcases with ladders require highceilings, which tend to be associated with very large, expensive dwellings, andenough money to buy both those and the expensive bookcases as well. Andacademia is not known for paying well. Moreover, many academic jobs these daysare short-term, and junior faculty often have to relocate every few years, sothere’s not much of an incentive to have large custom bookshelves built.Consequently, there’s not a lot of actual impressive bookcases in academichomes. A professor who does particularly well (very senior faculty, has anadditional revenue stream from books or consulting, married to someone with abetter income, etc.) might have them, but most just long for them. Q7 How do I identifya leakage current in house wiring? A7 RajashriGavali, Software DeveloperAnswered Jul 15, 2020 To check a leakage current in housewiring, first turn offthe main breaker at your home's service panel (breaker box) and lookat the electric meter. Themeter should not be running, if it is, you have discovered the leak.It is somewhere between the power leads and the panel, and you need to have it fixed immediately by electrician. The current flowing in the groundconductor is measured by connecting the meter in series with the groundingconnection of the device concerned. Leakage current clamp meter is the most popular deviceused to measure leakage current. 2ndanswer- Ian Plunkett, BCom Electrical Engineering & AutomaticControl of Conveyor Belt Tension, St. George's College, Harare (1978)AnsweredJul 15, 2020 Tracing Earth Leakage faultsis a challenging process. If you don’t understand the technology of EarthLeakage detection, you are going to battle. You need a low current ‘Clip-on’ Ammeter (100 mA range)’. What you can do, is to unplug every appliance and then bring eachappliance back one by one to find what is tripping. It is mostly heating appliances thatcause these problems. If the appliance is ‘Double Insulated’, it has noearth and cannot cause the leakage trip. You are highly unlikely to see anEarth Leakage on the Electricity Meter. Themost troublesome appliances are: Kettle Electric Frying pan Stoves andhotplates Fridges Irons Geyser Note also that manyappliances, particularly electronic ones have internal filters on the powerline each adding a small leakage that makes the E/L Unit marginal. If theEarth Leakage circuit is nor correctly installed, it can be a reason. Note thatboth the Live line and the Neutral Line must both pass through the EarthLeakage relay. If there iks a short to ground on the neutral, you will needprofessional help. 3rdanswer Jawaharlal Karamchetti , BE Electrical Engineering & EnergyConservation, M Tech from IIT Kharagpur (1973)Answered Feb 19, 2021 Measure the current of green wirewith low current ammeter (200 ma) keeping all switches-ON position. Keepmeasuring and slowly one of one switch OFF. Find which appliance is leakingmore. Mynote- In old buildings there can be leakage from electric wires alsodue to bad insulation. Blocking each phase one can find out from which phasethe leakage happening. Now one has to check up the wirings from that phase.Once can locate a wet portion, opening causing water inside, or somewherewiring is not concealed and damaged etc. I had such a problem in my quarters onfirst floor of my office at Krishnagiri. Q8 How deep is thesoil layer on Earth? A8 StevenHaddock LL.B. degree, 25 years inlitigation, administrative law, collections, bankrupty and professionalregulation1y Itvaries —— a lot Onthe Canadian Shield, there might be little to no soil. Thosetrees are pretty much hanging onto organic material trapped in the rock. TheShield has little soil because until recently it was covered in a glacier whichscraped it all off. Meanwhile, over on the Canadian Prairies, the soil might be about ten feetthick before you hit rock (although only the top foot or so is topsoil).Although the prairies had a glacier too, it left behind a shallow sea intowhich sediment settled. As the glacier receded, grasses found their way intothe sediment and when those died it left behind more soil. Q9 Which AC is bestand electrically efficient for my 240 sq. ft. room? A9 SanjeevG , Mechanical Engineer, Thinker Answered May 26, 2018 It’s the volume of the room and not the floor area which determines therequirement of ac. The rule of thumb in our country is a room of10x10x10 requires 1 ton ac.Now you can calculate Q10 How do I determinewhether if I need 1.5 ton AC or 2 ton AC if my room size is 15×30? A10 AryaBhagwat , studied at Centre Point School Answered May 29, 2020 The size of the room is not theonly criteria for deciding the AC power. Some other criteria (but not limited to) are: The volume of the room,The latitudeof your location The heat load in the room ( howmany persons are expected to be in it & the lighting inside) Whether the ceiling is directlyexposed to the sun ( as in case of the top floor) The direction in which your room isoriented (particularly whether it is facing west) The size of windows & the typeof glass used The material of the walls,Thefrequency of opening the doors,The ambient temperature outside Q11 Which AC is best fora 200 sq. ft. room? A11 NirajPatel , Self-employed (2014-present)Answered Jun 10, 2020 If u are asking. Terms of tonnage then 1.5tonne But if it is about company then gowith this premium brand costly but good cooling effect Daikin Mitsubishi heavy Ogeneral Mitsubishi Electric Hitachi In mid segment Bluestar good brand it should be includedwith above list but due to lower cost as compared to above brand i haveincluded here great cooling and uses many air filter to get clean air atreasonable prices and its outdoor unit arr design as per Indian standard to avoidcorrosion by using galvanised steel. Lg chepaer rate and u get inverterac but durability depend on your luck i mean it work but some them findfrequent issues one time a year.. mainly its cooling efficiency is slightlylower then a ove model ao less chilled effect.. Q12 Why is Great Britaincalled Great Britain? Why didn't they call France fabulous France? A12 ClaireJordan Degree in biology and folklore; programmer, shop owner, secretary onnewspaperApr 16 “Great” means big. It’s called that because it’s the biggest island inthe British Isles, and to distinguish it from Lesser/Little Britain. In the immediate pre-Romanperiod Lesser Britain referred to Ireland, because it was the second largestisland in the archipelago, and later on it came to be used forBrittany or Bretagne, a district of north-west France which was settled byrefugees from Britain in the immediate post-Roman period.
