That is generally what I do.
Depending on the arrangement of the images you might be able to leave some or
most of them visible if you change the stacking order. Experiment with the
Top, Up, Down, Bottom buttons.
You can also double-right-click an image to allow you to drag it to

entries in the background list. They are the file name and each of the
images it contains. The file name holds the centerline and each image
