MoinMoin,

on that general topic I have a question:
Is there a a group/comunity/page that collects/distributes information on GIS for cavers?
>From what I see and hear there a folks around using it but no go-to places to get you started (pls correct me if I'm wrong)

I use QGIS for variouse things including managing prospecting data on expeditions.
There is also a styleset for the 2d ESRI files that will style some of the lines according to the AUT-set from Therion in QGIS...

It would be very useful indeed if lines would be clipped and if lines and points would be exported with height-data (also in 2d) as my biggest problem atm are overlapping passages in QGIS...

This would be interesting to see, have you shared it anywhere? Although
I do not know if my knowledge of GIS is good enough to use it. I've been
playing with QGIS.

I also notice that geospatial PDF (PDF2.0) exists. I don't think this is
part of Therion, or if it is I cannot get it to work. Seems to have the
surveys at whatever 0,0 of the coordinate system I set.
It would be good if the georeferencing part of PDF could be enabled. No
idea how hard that would be, but it would be an easy way for the end
user to be able to add plans to GIS and the like.

It appears hat this gets confused with

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeoPDF

Which I cannot say surprises me!
