not sure if that helps -just cross read mails- but if the labels are outside the grid and simply cut off u could try to extend the grid. For extended eleve it workes something alnong those lines:

I extensively use T. Holders Inkscape plugin for Inkscape.
At the end u have to export the svg out of Inkscape which can be tediouse if u want to finalise a map and therfore make a lot of small changes.
Is it possible that someone who knows to code puts the Inkscape dialog directly i
