If you are talking about rubberband selection, that should be available
with Gtk 2.10.

I'd like to know, if the selection rectangle for multiple selection

I prepared a patch (actually two patches, one for libexo, one for
Thunar) to implement Hover-Autoselection in a sane way for both the icon
and the detailed list view. It should work similar to the way it works
in Windows Explorer, but it's configurable. It'd be nice if people using
