I've created a TW on tiddlyspot with some notes in [[GettinStarted]]
on what I am trying to do and how I have gone about it:

Perhaps one question I will ask before I go much further, what script
do I write (or delete) to turn off the Tags and Backstage visibility,
and which tiddler do I make these adjustments in. For example I want
to turn off the edit menu, so I duplicate ToolbarCommands and delete
the edit menu. Then
Thanks Guys for these posts. I was going to wait till I had a chance
to try everything that has been suggested before posting a reply. But
because there is so much data I thought I'd just write a quick note
now to say thanks, and then I'll let you know how I get on later.

As an immediate solution, the saving mechanism in TiddlySpace/Tiddlymanuals
will allow the to team load the site onto the laptop in a different part of
the building (where they can get the internet without going via O2), they
can then make edits *offline* in the team meeting room; these will be
this is really helpful, Jeremy - though a drag as the the team have just
spent scant NHS budget on an O2 dongle! OK, it gives us something to work
on.

I've settled on using TW with FF.
Nothing I tried with Chrome allowed me to save, including creating
Chrome shortcuts and running command line switches.
@Grmble
The Java plugin seems to be the problem on my Mac under OS X Lion
10.7.2 with the latest version of Chrome.

Another small update - I've changed the "+" buttons in the "Attendees
+" and "Agenda Item +" lists to "⊕" (circled-plus).
What does this mean? Now you can add an existing Tiddler to the Agenda
Items or Attendees list rather than being forced to have a new Tiddler
created.

Hi, the team I work with in Edinburgh are still struggling to access their
version of the TiddlyManual (see http://tiddlymanuals.tiddlyspace.com and
follow links for AMBIT and Lothian CAMHS) - when they use an O2 dongle...
it seems to load fine if they use a Three 3G dongle, but not with the O2
Wonderful stuff for "the book" ?

Hi Alex
While developing you can use the shadows.
When all behaves properly you can copy these to the NewTheme-tiddler
and make it more permanent.
In your Theme stylesheet section you can add [[StyleSheet]] as last at
the bottom.
Small css-adjustments can be placed (and examined) using the default
I am put off using themes because I find the workflow more complicated
than changing stylesheet, PageTemplate and ViewTemplate. Making
changes to a theme requires a browser refresh where as changes to
StyleSheet can be seen imediately
My question is to theme developers : do you have a workflow
like I said 8-)

Hy Liam
To create a theme you need to collect all your Tiddlers in a single
Theme-tiddler.
You have collected the changes you would like to make and added these
to the shadow-tiddlers:
PageTemplate, ViewTemplate, EditTemplate and StyleSheet.
You can download an empty theme template here:

I did have a look at your layout. It looks good allready. There is a
possibility, to use _one_ tiddler that is called a theme.
In my personal experience, everything revolves about the need for a
functioning java plugin. If the Chrome does not have a java plugin or
the java plugin does not work, you are out of luck.
This may involve the user having to install and try out different java
versions from different providers. I

I'm stuck.
I've tried looking for tutorials on themes but I haven't yet found
something that has put me on the right track. I need to know what
controls the elements I want to switch and how to actually script
this. The fact that multiple tiddlers control a theme really
complicates things for me

Ignore my earlier message. Things move fast around here.
I assumed the MarkDown plugin I installed yesterday was current. Now
I've updated to 1.

Can't get this to work. Using the formatting you describe produces
what looks like a link, but it does't open the Tiddler it refers to.
It's like
